An event at Bexleyheath Broadway
On Tuesday, 24th June, an event was held in Bexleyheath Shopping Centre to mark the Neighbourhood Watch 40th Anniversary and also to launch the new Metropolitan Police Initiative ,MetEngage. The event was organised by Grant Murrell, Chairman of the Bexley Borough Neighbourhood Watch Association, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police.
The SNT for Crook Log were on hand to offer invaluable advice and support to passing shoppers. They also distributed their Met Engage initiative flyers, providing further resources for community involvement. Madame Mayor of Bexley Borough, Cllr Christine Catterall, also attended to provide support to the initiative.
The highlight of the event was the appearance of Nick Stapleton, from the BBC programme Scam Interceptors. Visitors could easily access a wealth of resources, including leaflets and guides, and by scanning QR flyers displayed on the tables.
